My journey into photography began in 2022 when my good friend Elmar invited me on a weeklong hiking trip along the Portuguese coast. At the time, I had just purchased my first camera, was curious about photography but without much experience. This trip was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up—and I was hooked from the very start! The combination of beautiful landscapes, the challenge of hiking, and the creative outlet photography offered felt like the perfect match.

As Elmar launched his outdoor community, Thru-Hiking, I often joined trips with my camera in hand. My passion for photography grew with each adventure. By early 2023, I decided to take the leap, leaving my job to pursue a career as a full-time photographer, continuing to collaborate closely with Elmar.

Over the past few years, I’ve been fortunate to turn my passion into a profession. From exploring Iceland’s black deserts to the majestic glaciers of the Alps, I’ve traveled across the world, capturing the beauty of nature. Together, Elmar and I published two books showcasing the best hiking trails in Europe and launched Hiking-Trails, a website aimed at becoming the ultimate hiking trail database globally.

My mission is simple: to create content that inspires and to capture the beauty of life outdoors.
